The input process is organized by "legs," with each leg representing a straight section of conduit followed by a bend, except for the final leg, which is typically a straight run. Users must provide several key parameters for calculation, including:

• Number of wires
• Conduit inner diameter (I.D.)
• Duct material
• Material of the cable insulation
• Coefficient of friction*
• Length of leg
• Bend angle
• Vertical rise

*It is important to note that precise results can be hindered by various unknown factors, particularly the coefficient of friction. Variables such as lubrication, surface texture, and cable lay can differ significantly along a conduit run. Users may find that comparing actual pull forces against estimated forces provides guidance on selecting an appropriate coefficient of friction for similar future installations. Additionally, the app features a dropdown table suggesting starting points for coefficients of friction applicable to well-lubricated cables. In cases where lubrication is not employed, it is recommended to triple the values indicated in this table.
